“ChoreoCouture” Generative Fashion Workshop

For PMQ Detour Hong Kong (2021)

Not too long ago, generative digital art was seen as mere decoration or simply flights of a mathematician’s whimsy. Today, this combination of computational capability with human imagination is valued not just for its aesthetics, but also its beneficial design utility. We can now create works of art unparalleled with never-seen-before levels of detail, depth, and variety. In this workshop, a camera captures participants’ movements, poses and silhouettes which will be processed to morph a 2D dress templates into 3D looking forms.
